What Is Love - 1020 Words
Paulina Prado English 250 Tu/Thu 10/5/10 What is Love? Love is one of the most difficult words to define. I challenge you to try. You can even go the easy way and simply Google the word ââ¬Å"loveâ⬠. What you will find is not one but hundreds of definitions along with countless books, movies, and songs all having to do with love. The reason why it is so hard to define love is because there are different forms/stages of love and there are so many things that love can consist of. Also, love can have a different definition to every one of us. We all have different experiences and different beliefs which play an important role in how we think about love. Love doesnââ¬â¢t just start with the perfect first kiss and end with a happily everâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Due to influences like in this example it can become very difficult to find that person who you can build a relationship with. Because our mind is designed to respond when stimulated it can lead us to believe that we just fell in love. The definition of love is impossible to define regardless of the hundreds of sources we can find on it. There is just too much to try and sum it up in a few sentences. It can also be different for every individual. To me love is a feeling that is unconditional. It is accepting another person for who they are and sacrificing the unthinkable for this person. Donââ¬â¢t be influenced or misled by outside sources or even by your own brain. Love has many faces. Over time, with experience and more knowledge I think everyone can create their own definition of what love is. About 2.2 million people in the U.S. every year do it when they pronounce their wedding vows. (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) If asked to, would you be able to define love in your own terms? Works Cited Kluger, Jeffrey. The Science of Romance: Why We Love. Predicting The Future Of The Department Of Homeland...
Playing the Market Predicting the future of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) would be similar to predicting the stock market. Those who come close are successful enough to understand it can change on any given day. They do not invest all in one business sector, they learn to respect the market, and they look for trends to aid in their decision. Nothing is guaranteed with the stock market and nothing guarantees DHS will still be an establishment in the next 10 years. Who is to say we are not years away from global peace? Though until then we need to focus on every-day trends that affect the general public. The biggest issue DHS will need to address in the future is the rapid change in technology. Recently the Federalâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦The digital system was hacked and the hackers paralyzed it and disable the cars brakes at low speeds, along with gain control of the steering wheel (Greenberg, 2016). If discovered by someone with malice intentions, information could have been e xploited and cause horrific damage to Chryslers brand name. Another example involving the rapid change in technology with the auto industry involved Tesla. During hurricane Irma in 2017, Tesla remotely upgraded all their vehicles batteries in Florida to have a longer charge. Owners were able to safely travel longer distances without having to stop and charge so they could get out of the state sooner to avoid the storm (ODonnell, 2017). Whether the remote upgrade feature was publicly known, Tesla did right by their customers, however, the batteries reverted back after the hurricane. Again, if this feature was exploited it would put the public at risk of batteries being drained while traveling at 70 miles per hour on any given highway. A solution to address the use of technologies to inflict harm on the United States is an advisory council. President Donald Trump was on the right track when he established his advisory council filled with prominent business leaders. A similar advisory council should be established by DHS with high-level Sec urity Executive Chairman from different industry sectors. Subculture Free Essays
Cortland Bolling Branham SOCI 1301 In the article ââ¬Å"Authenticity in the Skateboarding Worldâ⬠, subculture is described as a completely separate culture with its own set of values and norms outside those of the worldââ¬â¢s society. Skaters can be described as one of these subcultures because of their unique values, norms, and sanctions that differ from most sports. Unlike sports such as basketball the norm for skaters is their lack of interest in competition and trying to out due each other. We will write a custom essay sample on Subculture or any similar topic only for you Order Now According to Beal and Weidman the skateboarding community follows two central values, participant control and the devaluing of competition; many skaters explain that they chose to skate, and that they choose individually whatââ¬â¢s acceptable. After interviewing more skaters the authors discover that like other cultures they also have their own sanctions. One example is that many of the skaters that are in it to look cool, or to be better than everyone else are looked down upon as not being ââ¬Å"real skatersâ⬠, but instead conformist. While sports are a common spot for subcultures, they are not the only place they can be found and in fact most people belong to one. For example I am a member of a Baptist church. While it is true that Baptist are Christians just like Methodist and Catholics, we have our own sub subculture or set of values, norms, and sanctions that somewhat differ from the other Christian churches. In a Baptist church praise and worship is often very loud and up beat while at a Lutheran church they remain quiet unless spoken too and sing old hymns, so being loud would be considered rude and vulgar. Current Trend Of The Marketing Of Omni Channel Advertising - Samples
Question: Discuss about the Current Trend Of The Marketing Of Omni Channel Advertising. Answer: The present report discusses the current trend of the marketing leaders to embrace the Omni channel advertising. The omni-channel advertising uses the combination of different advertising channels to increase the brand awareness and drive the sales results. In the era of digital and internet media, the companies are using programmatic approaches in choosing the media channel (Busch, 2015). However, while choosing the media channels, the companies are choosing multi-channel media strategies; however, in order to develop Omni culture media strategy, the companies have to understand the internal and external challenges, which become a challenge in the omni-channel media buying. The report highlights that omni-channel advertising is a complex process as there are several internal and external challenges. The people are isolated in the channels, the business processes are immature and technical advertisement is saturated. The program and the standard algorithms can assist the programmers to analyze the consumer behavior. These programs allow the marketing executives to adapt to the dynamic customer behavior. The authors have also discussed that it is important to adopt the omni-present marketing channels; however, it is important to address the internal organization challenges to adopt these advertising approaches. In the external advertising, the companies must adhere to the advertising technologies, publishers and advertisement agencies (Joyce, 2016). References Joyce, R. (2016).
